OUR PROCESS

Although each project is unique, our process stays consistent with our hands-on approach to design.

We meet, either virtually or in person, to align on project aspirations, timelines, and budget ensuring we are clear on project goals before moving forward.

ONBOARDING

DESIGN CONCEPT PHASE

We move into a collaborative and iterative concept phase.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE: Specifications A & B

We create technical drawings for implementation and reach out for project bids, provide renderings as needed, and document all selections and interior finishes. From there we move into product ordering, procurement, & project management begins.

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION AND DELIVERABLES

We now begin the final design documentation through construction drawings and a comprehensive specification package. Ordering & product procurement take place once approvals are made. Construction commence at the end of this phase.

Through classical design principles & technical knowledge, we collaborate with the client along with skilled local trades to bring confidence and a breath of repose to the tedious process of Interior Design.

We take deep inspirations from the natural world that surrounds us, incorporating earth given materials wherever possible.

MACKIE INTERIORS was founded in 2019 by Manda Mackie (originally founded as Manda Roy Design).

Manda Mackie is a designer and multi-faceted creator living and working on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of BC, offering full-service in-person and distance Interior Design & Styling.

Once a product and brand designer, Manda considers the full experience of a space, curating intimate moments that create a sense of belonging while bringing each detail to light.

Manda her team design with careful consideration weaving the grand gesture moments and smallest detail notes into a harmonized space. The leading principle of Mackie Interiors is connection — the belief that a well-made space is an invitation, and that the most enduring environments are the ones made to be shared and lived in.
